Dr. Timothy Watson is on a mission  –  to help both children and adults experience the rich history Redlands offers.  Dr. Watson, a Redlands resident, has finally completed the full restoration of his Victorian house on Vine Street – across from Smiley library – as his pediatric medical office.

You might be surprised just how long eye-lash extensions have been around. Women have been looking for ways to enhance their eyes not just for the past several years, but millennia!

In 2020, the world as we knew it slowed down and stopped, giving way to a new world of uncertainty and, at times, isolation and loneliness. Our entire way of life has been disrupted. Yet, there lies at least one opportunity amid this upheaval: we now have more time for each other and for nature.

O’Flanary’s Emporium is a gift shop/painting classroom on West State Street, Redlands (a couple doors west of Saverino’s Italian Deli). Judy Coates, the owner and internationally acclaimed art teacher and speaker, named her business after her grandparents.

Hands On Knitting Center is a fiber arts store which opened in 2011. There, one discovers natural yarns and fibers of both animal and plant origin, many of which are machine washable.  There are also patterns, pattern books, and the tools (needles, hooks, looms) necessary to create sweaters, socks, scarves, shawls, hats, gloves, cuffs – you name it. Since weaving looms are expensive, the Center offers looms for rent, so one can try a weaving project without having to purchase a loom.

Mothers are often criticized and judged for how they raise their children. So, Redlands' local mamas from FIT4MOM and Occupational Therapist, Danielle Delorenzo, are here to share their unique feeding journeys.

Over 13 million Americans were reported unemployed last month, marking a 7.8 million increase since February. It’s not difficult to see how this bleak figure came to be. With a pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns sweeping countries worldwide, a recession was just another crisis that was waiting to happen. As millions struggle to weather this pandemic-induced economic upheaval, some careers have emerged as possible one-way tickets to financial security. 

The Historical Glass Museum opened to the public in 1985. In 1977 the Historical Glass Museum Foundation purchased a 1903 Victorian-style home at 1157 North Orange Street in Redlands. It was the beginning of a dream to preserve specimens of American glass from factories that were becoming extinct, as well as factories and glass artists currently producing glass. The Museum now houses the largest collection of American-made glass west of the Rocky Mountains.

Swank Designs and Swoon Home are the twin brainchildren of RaeLena Vasquez. These complementary businesses are located on Citrus Avenue in the former Coin Broker shop. Those familiar with the Coin Broker business will immediately notice the upscale design changes RaeLena has made to this space. Her goal – bring a designer feel to Redlands.
