Perhaps I'm biased (ok, I AM biased) but it seems like dogs are increasingly more present in people's day-to-day lives. For many, they are part of the family, often referred to as 'kids' and parents seem to be just as quick to show pictures of their four-legged as their 2-legged kids.

I also have some suggestions for restaurants who accept dogs on their premises, designated or otherwise:

Wedding convention has guests expecting a sit-down catered meal, a bartender and a four-tier cake topped with figurines.

But today, couples are occasionally bucking convention.

Our family of four, including two boys 12 and 13, returned to Redlands for a wedding, a funeral and some much needed time with our west coast family!  We had our usual spots that we wanted to visit; Cheesewalla, El Burrito, A Store Called Quest, etc.  But when the weather in Baltimore kept us in Redlands for three extra days, we managed to make the most of it by enjoying more of what Redlands has to offer including, a La Minute and did I mention Cheesewalla? 

I’m sure we can all agree that finding stunning inspiration for wedding flowers is easier than ever (thank you, Pinterest), but when you get down to brass tacks, putting together a floral scheme can be much more complicated than it sounds!

Choosing a wedding a photographer should not be quick and easy.

Don’t just get a referral. Don’t just look at prices.

Ask your niece to be the flower girl. Check.

Ask your best friend to stand up for you. Check.

Ask your family pastor to officiate. Check.

Having loved ones in your ceremony and in attendance on the big day is a big part of what makes it special.

Do you really have to leave your dog out?

I, like many others, used to fantasize about my wedding day. I was going to be in a mermaid-style dress, with whimsical flowing hair, barefoot on the beach, sunflowers everywhere, and the most handsome man waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
