Great Eats Off the Beaten Path

Redlands Ranch Market

Authentic Mexican kitchen, tortilleria, and bakery featuring daily made from scratch products. Daily fresh produce and butcher shop with great marinated meats! Carolyn's Cafe

3. ESRI Café

The ESRI Café is open to the public and an absolute treat! They always offer a fully stocked salad bar and build your own sandwich counter. The daily specials are what you do not want to miss!

4. Deli on the Corner

A local family owned Deli, offering paninis, sandwiches, salads, wraps and fresh juices. All sandwiches are made with locally fresh baked bread and all natural meats.

5. Theron's Frozen Custard

Frozen custard is the king of frozen desserts, similar to old fashion hand-cranked ice cream but smoother, creamier and with more body.

6. Gerrards Market

Local grocery Store featuring: USDA Prime Meats, organic, locally grown produce, delicatessen, gourmet cheese, fine wines and spirits, florist, catering, BBQ and bakery.

7. Red Panka Peruvian Cuisine

Inland Empire's 1st Peruvian/Mexican fusion restaurant. Serving burritos, bowls, salads & more! Everyday 11AM-9PM

Off the Beaten Path Outdoor Activities

1. Kimberly Crest

The gardens are great for a stroll. Awesome special events throughout the year. Open for tours Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. 1:00 pm - 3:30pm

Sunset Drive

Oakmont and Oakridge Trail

Oakmont trail is a shorter version of the other twisting Oakridge Trail. It runs down the ridge to where Oakridge Trail meets Oakmont. Just before the junction, there are a few sharp switchbacks, which can be difficult to hike. After that, it continues down the ridge and hits three more sharp turns, then runs into Live Oak Preserve Trail. Great hiking and running trails. Often there are horseback riders. Dogs must be on leash.

4. Teddy's Trail

This is a short, but fun trail right off Sunset. It leads to the Hermit's Trail as well as to nearby trails at the top of the hill. It's pretty easy, but can be overgrown with brush. Dogs must be leashed.

5. Caroline Park

Caroline Park is a 16.8 acre nature park with trails and open space planted with native California plants and a water conservation garden. The park is located at Mariposa Drive and Dwight Street. 1748 Chaparral Dr.

Technically in Loma Linda but a quick drive and an awesome hiking/mountain biking spot.

1. Olive Avenue Market

Coffees, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, & pastries. specialty teas, retro sodas, eclectic beers, flavored olive oils.... Brunch served on weekends 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM (Phone orders end at 12:00 PM).

2. Stell Coffee & Tea Co.

Small Batch Fresh roasted 100% Arabica specialty grade whole bean coffee.

3. The Meek House

A European vibe mom and pop coffee shop.

Off the Beaten Path Activities

A.K. Smiley Library

Such a beautiful building, inside and out. They have children's story time, used book for sale, public computers, heritage tours, Lincoln Memorial Shrine and much more.

2. Farmers Market at the Grove School

The Farmers Market at The Grove School is a certified farmers market that is open Saturdays, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. The market provides produce, baked goods, dairy goods, and more.

Located on State Street and often forgotten. They have three floors of antiques. This is a great place to explore with the whole family!

4. The Blues

Retro antique and vintage store on State Street in downtown Redlands.
