Our Nannie was the embodiment of a Southern lady! Every year she made us dense delicious persimmon pudding (without baking powder). Here is her recipe with a little Redlands twist! The Buddha hand orange is a bizarre citrus with no flesh and all peel. Zest this fragrant fruit to make the persimmon pudding POP! 

Not all treats need to be tooth rattling sweet. These cookies are light and fluffy with a perfect balance of soothing freshness! Plus, they are packed with protein and a nice vitamin C pick-me-up.

At the height of citrus production Redlands had 15,000 acres of citrus groves! Due to abundance, the fragrant tangy fruits made their way into a wide variety of recipes. Edwards Mansion continued the legacy years later with a few well-known baked goods featuring oranges from the venues property.

Did you know, the first orange grove in Redlands was planted in 1882? Our city was the center of navel orange production in the world. In the 70's Edwards Mansion found a way to incorporate Redlands rich citrus history with tangy sweet deliciousness - Edwards Mansion Famous Orange Pie!

The Downtown Redlands corridor is speckled with local parks, historic sites, and old orange groves. Held every Thursday night, our Market Night was established in 1988. It still thrives to this day.
