COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE at ASISTENCIA

This free event will welcome guests to one of the significant historic structures in the region for the first time in many years.

Guests will be able to take a self-guided tour of the structures, following a path of placards posting QR codes which will take visitors to information about the Asistencia – the site’s connection to regional indigenous peoples, the many gardens, the buildings themselves, programs offered at Asistencia, and ways to volunteer and help.

But wait, there’s more! Children’s activities including story-telling about Redlands, guided tours of Asistencia’s seven gardens, food and beverages, and two mini-concerts in the chapel. It’s possible that characters from Asistencia’s past will be on hand to tell their own stories.

No reservations necessary. Drop in after church or after the football game, and stay for the afternoon. Asistencia is open to the community.

  • September 22, noon to 5pm – Free and open to the public
