THE VISUAL POWER OF CONTRAST Contrast is critically important for photographic images: HOW and WHERE a photographer uses contrast makes all the difference! Skillful photographers can, for example, use contrast to guide the viewer along a specific path in an image. They can use contrast to create ease or strain in an image. In a presentation to Redlands Camera Club on Monday, February 16, professional photographer Lisa Langell will reveal secrets for making photos pop, create and improve a resting place for the viewer’s eye, and enhance an image’s overall composition—both in the field and in post-processing. Lisa will demonstrate with before-and-after examples and share easy, powerful techniques to help photographers take their images from drab to fab.
Whether you’re capturing contrast in-camera or enhancing it during editing, this fun and informative session will be a game-changer. This free Zoom-only presentation begins at 7pm Monday, February 16. The public is welcome to attend. For a link to the meeting and more, see the Redlands Camera Club website
