Redlands Footlighters Theatre “Love, Loss and What I Wore”
Director Shannon Cabanilla Galuzka brings her vision of the award winning production, “Love, Loss and What I Wore”, to the Redlands Footlighters Theatre Outdoor Stage Friday May 7th and Saturday May 8th to kick off their Spring Benefit Series for theatre fun under the stars. The play written by Nora and Delia Ephron was adapted from Ilene Beckerman’s novel of the same name.
The show introduces us to a vibrant cast of women who each share their personal life experiences through the memories linked to pieces of their most cherished clothing. Poignant recollections include a woman’s first bra shopping experience, a gang sweater that led to heartbreak, Madonna costumes that provided sexual freedom and a pair of boots connected to a horrifying, emotionally-riveting trauma. These and many other stories will be presented through monologues played by a talented cast including Footlighters veteran Pamela Lambert as Gingy; a character whose story is broken into multiple monologue segments and has a variety of dress sketches that depict the outfits worn during her times of hardship.
This production will be held Mother’s Day weekend on May 7th and 8th at 8:00 PM on the Redlands Footlighters Theatre Outdoor Stage with ample seating space (B.Y.O.C. - Bring Your Own Chair) for Social Distancing.
Masks must be worn in order to attend this event. Ticket sales start May 2nd: General Admission $20 / kids 12 and under free. (Note: Some mature content not suitable for young children.)
We also invite our guests to dress up in their Sunday best getup for a mini competition. There will be two lucky winners that will be selected by a panel of judges so suit up and be seen. We hope you can join us this Mother’s Day weekend for a series of dramatic, funny and heartbreaking stories - and the clothes that hold the memories.
- Friday 05/07/21 - Saturday 05/08/21
