The Great Y Circus

84th Performing Season

Once upon a time, a man named Roy Coble was a performer with the famous Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. After his time with the chaos ended, he worked as a director for the local YMCA.

One day, Roy had an idea. He wanted to offer young men a new way to get exercise by teaching them acrobatics and circus skills as part of their physical training. And so, he began to include circus classes in the YMCA’s schedule.

As time passed, more young men became interested in the circus classes. They learned how to do acrobatics, juggling, and other exciting feats of strength and agility. Soon, Roy saw the potential for something even more significant. He wanted to create a circus that would showcase the talents of these young men and women.

And that’s how the Great Y Circus® was born. Roy became the founder and director of the new circus, which quickly gained popularity in the community. People of all ages came to see the amazing feats of strength and skill the talented young performers performed.

Roy’s vision had come to life, and the Great Y Circus® continued to thrive for many years, providing entertainment and physical training for generations to come.
