THE ART OF STILL-LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY Great still-life painters, like Francisco de Goya and Sarah Miriam Peale, understood the drama created by light. Aspiring fine art photographers likewise understand the importance of controlling light in their images. On Monday, February 17, nationally recognized fine art photographer and painter Mark Battista will present a program to Redlands Camera Club about the Art of Still Life Photography. In this program, Mark will share his approach to creating images that tell a story, communicate an idea, and express a mood. Participants will learn how to modify light and apply directional light to create drama. By understanding natural light, strobes, and constant artificial lighting, participants will learn how to create impactful still-life imagery.
This free Zoom-only presentation begins at 7pm Monday, February 17. The public is welcome to attend. For a link to the meeting and more, see the Redlands Camera Club website here
