DIGITAL STORYTELLING Digital storytelling is a meaningful avenue for capturing histories, reflections, and milestones. And for Redlands Camera Club Vice President and Programs Chair Cheryl Diermyer, people–and places–and their stories are at the heart of photography. On Monday, October 6, Cheryl will introduce photographers to the art and practice of digital storytelling—an approach that transforms images into powerful, multi-dimensional narratives. Participants will explore how to write a compelling story, then learn about the process and tools for weaving together audio, text, narration, movement, and photographs to create a dynamic final piece. Examples of digital storytelling clients will be shared, illustrating how clients across diverse fields have used digital stories to connect with audiences and create lasting impact. As a CBS News Video Journalist, Cheryl would capture stories and share them with a worldwide audience. Her deep attention and reverence for following the thread to where the meaning lives infuses her photography. This free presentation of the Redlands Camera Club is open to the public and takes place at First Presbyterian Church in Redlands. Find parking and the entrance at 105 South Fourth Street. A social time will begin at 6:30pm with the program beginning at 7:00. The program will also be shared digitally via Zoom. For more information, see the Redlands Camera Club website HERE
