Photography with Purpose: Documenting Environmental Change American prairies are disappearing rapidly, eliminating habitat for many resident species. Photographers can document the environmental changes and add visual impact to the efforts to save this and other ecosystems. The Chicks On A Grouse Trip project started in February 2021, when Sandy Zelasko and Christine Pence came across an active greater sage grouse communal breeding ground on a cold morning in Utah. On Monday, January 6, Redlands Camera Club will offer a program following that journey. The program will be both informative and interactive. Presenter Christine Pence will provide a simulated setting to feel what it’s like to photograph these birds. Participants are encouraged to bring their camera, tripod, a short/medium zoom lens, and a sense of humor! This free presentation of the Redlands Camera Club is open to the public and takes place at First Presbyterian Church in Redlands. Find parking and the entrance at 105 South Fourth Street. A social time will begin at 6:30pm with the program beginning at 7:00. The program will also be shared digitally via Zoom. For more information, see the Redlands Camera Club website here
