The Redlands Police Department’s Animal Control Unit provides animal control services to Redlands residents six days a week. Officers patrol the streets and respond to calls for service to assist with animal related problems. The Redlands Animal Shelter is open to the public five days a week. The public may view animals housed at the facility. Potential adopters may request to handle animals they are interested in adopting. The shelter also provides a variety of educational programs within the community. The mission of this unit is to provide the City with quality service while meeting the needs of the public and maintaining a healthful and happy environment for the many stray and homeless animals we acquire.

The public is welcome to tour our kennel and cattery areas to view our many animals. Whether you are looking for your lost animal or for an animal to adopt, we are more than happy to assist you in any way that we can. If your lost animal is not found in our shelter, we encourage you to fill out a lost animal report. We may be able to locate the animal for you and reunite you with your pet.
