Alta Vista Credit Union
gold PartnerAlta Vista Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Redlands. Unlike a traditional bank, a credit union returns earnings to its members through competitive loan rates, lower fees, and better savings dividends rather than distributing profits to shareholders.
Alta Vista was founded in 1943 as the San Bernardino Army Air Depot Employees Credit Union, serving civilian employees at what is now Norton Air Force Base. When the base closed in the 1990s, the credit union expanded its membership, and in 2007 adopted the name Alta Vista Credit Union while receiving a community charter that allows anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in San Bernardino or Riverside counties to join.
