Buying a Christmas Tree Tips
November: Well, you're about to buy a Christmas tree (the day after Thanksgiving, like me, right?) Consider a live tree, from a nursery. (Watch the grocery store ones, sometimes they are not watered properly and I've seen them wilted.) Find a place in your yard to display this wonderful specimen that you can decorate for years to come! Ask what kind it is and ask for eventual size so you don't plant it in the wrong place! Also, this month you should adjust your irrigation timers so that the frequency is more in keeping with the shorter, cooler, wetter days...... Don't adjust the time - just the frequency.
