Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Collection
During operating hours, residents can dispose of household materials including, outdated prescription medication (with the exception of controlled substances), outdated pet prescription medication, paint products, chemical cleaners, pesticides, fertilizers, hobby/pool supplies, automotive oil, filters, brake fluid, transmission fluid, anti-freeze, gasoline, and propane tanks.
The site does not accept business waste, radioactive wastes, medical waste, explosives, reactives, or asbestos.
What is Hazardous Waste?
Any material or mixture of waste which is corrosive, poisonous, flammable, combustible, caustic, volatile, explosive, an irritant, a strong sensitizer, or toxic. These materials can be harmful to humans, animals, and the environment including groundwater contamination or even ineffective sewage treatment. Many of these materials can be recycled or reused.

- Open Every Saturday - 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (except holiday weekends and/or rainfall)
- City of Redlands Corporate Yard- 1270 W. Park Avenue (enter from Kansas St. north of Park Ave.)
You can bring in these excess materials:
- All household Cleaners
- Aerosol cans and bottles
- Used oil and filters
- Other oils and lubricants
- Gasoline or Diesel fuel
- Other flammable liquids
- Pesticides and Herbicides
- No commercial waste
- Oil based paints
- Latex/water base paints
- Paint solvents/cleaners
- Pool chemicals
- Batteries (auto/household)
- Florescent Light Bulbs
- No radioactive waste
- Televisions, Computers, Cell Phones, Stereos, Microwave ovens, CD players
- No major appliances (e.g. refrigerators, dryers)
Attention - Limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds maximum per visit.
Please be careful when transporting chemicals to the disposal site at the Redlands City Yard on Kansas Street, which is adjacent to the City’s Animal Control Shelter.
Directions: I-10 Freeway to Tennessee, exit Tennessee south. On Tennessee one block south of Redlands Blvd turn right on Park Avenue, then right on to Kansas Street, and enter the collection facility as directed by Redlands Fire Department personnel.
