A change in ownership finds the restaurant family owned and operated. In February 2011, longtime customers and Redlands natives, Bryan Briggs and brother J.R “Jimmy” Briggs, Jr. took over the helm. The brothers have sought to improve upon an established institution and bring their passion for food and wine along with a hands-on approach to assuring the satisfaction of their guests. Executive Chef, Guillermo “Memo” Mateo has spent 16 years in the kitchen of Joe Greensleeves and works to create an outstanding selection of steaks, seafood and pastas using only the finest and freshest ingredients.

We are located in the heart of downtown Redlands, in the historic Phinney Block building. Since opening in 1982, Greensleeves (aka Joes) has been a favorite destination for those looking to celebrate a special occasion, conduct business or simply indulge in a wonderful meal. Executive Chef, Guillermo “Memo” Mateo has spent 16 years in the kitchen of Joe Greensleeves and works alongside his brother, Jorge to create an outstanding selection of steaks, seafood and pastas using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
Steaks (Filet, New York and Rib Eye) are all hand-cut, pastas are made from scratch and it’s common to see Chef Memo fileting a freshly arrived 60-pound Halibut. Duck a’la orange, Veal Scallopine, Lamb Chops and Cioppino are staples of the house, with a menu that changes weekly and a variety of daily specials. Lobster Tail, Veal Chops, Slow-roasted LambShank and Osso Bucco are frequent additions to the night’s specials! Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs are welcome! Our dedicated Pastry Chef, Cesar, creates all of our desserts in-house. Delicate cakes, crème brulee or chocolate lava cake paired with a glass of Port or a Cappuccino are a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. We also offer a full bar and an extensive wine list, as well as imported and craft beers.

Joe Greensleeves has banquet facilities available for your private function. There are two separate banquet rooms upstairs with seating for anywhere from 10-25 people. My husband and I had a lovely dinner there Saturday night! The food was still (same chef) fabulous. They've refurbed the interior nicely and revamped the wine list. And the family members who greeted us and periodically checked on us (Lauren and Bryan) were very hospitable. We look forward to many more wonderful times at Joe Greensleeves. Thanks to your posting of the Joe Greensleeves lunch menu, we finally got to enjoy the restaurant. I had no idea they were even open for lunch before that. Yesterday, my mom, sister and I went there. It was not a meal, it was an experience. Jimmy (Shamus in Gaelic) made excellent suggestions on the appetizer and the wine. Fine dining in the middle of the day!
