Nicole of Nicole Kahn Photography started her business to fulfill a need for creatively, accurately, and emotionally documenting moments in life.
Nicole’s husband was 12 years old when he lost his mother to breast cancer. They have all of six images of him as a child. Nicole never wanted her children to have to struggle to recall memories or not have images to remind them of special people and moments in their lives. Her passion for photography was driven by her desire for families to never feel disconnected or unimportant. “Our stories are important and documenting them with images is part of telling those stories for generations to come.”
Mark, Nicole’s husband, grew up in Orange County and has lived in Redlands for 4 years now. They have three awesome children ages 19, 16, and 5 years old. And, although they have only lived within the city a short time, they have commuted from their previous home in Beaumont for almost 10 years prior to moving. Participating and volunteering with the Redlands AYSO for over 10 years; Nicole serving as a board member for several of those years, along with enjoying various other activities with in the city. They feel very grounded in Redlands and love being a part of the community.
Nicole grew up in Irvine and when she wasn’t at the beach or on her parents boat she spent most of her childhood saving stray kitties and dogs and playing soccer since the age of 5 along with competitively swimming. Because Nicole believes in always doing what you can do to be the best version of yourself, she has recently completed a challenging and rewarding business program through CSUSB's College of business where she finished top of her class.
Nicole personally has many loves. Her deepest loves being her husband and children. “They are my biggest fans and often my source for inspiration.” She loves creating art in motion with her photography, sewing and making cute little girls things, dogs, volunteering, the sun, being outdoors, dreaming and creating. She has a 17 year old cat rescue from Redlands Animal Shelter, she is a vegetarian and two out of three of her children were born at home. Nicole is both a complex and simple gal, and adores the people in her life she is lucky enough to call friends.
