What a nice place! The largest tea menu I have ever seen. Think I will have the mad garters wish- cranberry chix salad with a touch of curry and a layer of alfalfa.

Cute little tea and sweets place. I specifically went here for the macarons. There were only two types in the fridge, banana/ banana bread and pear/ Gorgonzola. I took one of each and ordered a cup of tea. I tried the banana one first, it seemed a bit chewy and it was too bananay for my taste. Then I tried the pear/ Gorgonzola cheese one and it was delicious. So, I ordered a dozen to take home. Only 8 made it home. But once I got home they had become room temperature, they were even better so now there are only 7. Okay, I ate the majority of these macarons, I tried to share but I could not.

My only concern is that they don't make the same sort of macarons daily. There were only two flavors to try my first trip over, so I know I only love the pear ones so far. Had their been more flavors to try I would be able to call ahead in the future and ask for more than the pear flavor...thereby increasing the hopes I would drive 35 miles to get more delicious macarons that I would eat too many of! They do have a facebook, but it doesn't say what macarons they are offering daily.....perhaps that is my suggestion to get 5 stars?

I made my first visit to Sucree today and was wowed! Macaroons in the I.E.! I never thought I'd see the day. And not only are there macaroons, but some of the most interesting flavors I have ever seen!

I have wanted to check out Aladdin's for a year now, but when I finally made my way over there, I found out the management changed and the theme of the place. Its more like a French-themed tea room with a variable tea selection, sandwiches and dessert. It's good for tea parties but also lunch.

I tried the Feng Shui tea which is a light herbal/fruit blend that was very calming. I got a pretty good sized pot for $3. There are many other teas to try out too. For tea lovers stranded in the IE, this place truly is an oasis. The desserts are really delicate, unique and enticing. I had the peach tea macaroon and a mini mojito cupcake. All I could say is if you love sweets and bold interesting flavors, this place will be your second home.

The service was great. The manager took some time to talk to me and she is a pastry chef trained at NY! I definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves tea and dessert. I haven't tried their lunch menu yet but I really can't see how they could go wrong.

Went to Sucree for lunch with some friends. It was my first time eating here while they have been going when it was known as Aladdin's Tea Room.

The setting has an Alice in Wonderland theme. It's a small tea room, but it gives a very homey feeling. The chef actually came out of the kitchen to welcome us to her family owned restaurant which happened to have been established just this year.

Before ordering our meal, we tried a variation of pastries that were on display. I'm a dark chocolate fan, so I really liked their Dark Chocolate Ganache Macaron! It was soft textured and flavorful. As for our actual meal we ordered their cold sandwiches which include a drink from their tea assortment and your choice of soup or salad. It may sound a lot, but the serving size is just right. Followed by our meal, I wanted to try another dessert entree before we left. This time we tried the Chunky Monkey mini cupcake which consisted of a banana-like moist flavor.

Not only do they serve tea, sandwiches, and pastries, but they also cater and customize cakes!

Sucree is a French word for sweets. And yes , it's a local place to go when craving French treat
