I've read many of the above Yelp comments and I hope people give this great restaurant a try. The prices are not cheap here, but the quality is top notch. I encourage folks to make this dinner a special occasion and enjoy the experience and not worry about splurging.

As you enter the fenced in patio area in the front of the restaurant, you are greeted by a wood burning grill that all of the meats are cooked on over real Red Oak wood. The outdoor dining area seats around 30 people while the small dining room can seat another 24 people. The dining room is set in what can be best described as "modern western" with large wooden tables with cow lined skins and orange vinyl colored booth and pictures of steers adorning the walls. Like all fine restaurant, everything is made fresh daily on the premises with no short cuts taken. Aurora and Blas are both very serious and passionate about their food and expect the best.

Wanting to sample the entire menu, I decided to start with some of the lunch items. First came the Combo Meat Plate $15.00, and then the dinosaur-like Turkey Leg $8.00. The combo plate came with 1 large meaty and tender beef & pork rib, a quarter of a barbecued chicken, and the signature tri tip (or you can order pulled pork). All of the items were perfectly seasoned by the owner/chef Blas's special seasonings and the delicate smoky red oak wood overtones made these meats really special and delicious. . The same could be said of the tender and juicy turkey leg that was not only impressive looking, it was really fun eating and so enjoyable to "gnaw" on. Their delicious Pulled Pork Sandwich $8.00 and the popular slowly cooked juicy Brisket Sandwich $8.00 are other items that I recommend.

Quick note: check my Yelp profile for extended coverage of this and other great restaurants. Also, let's stay in touch! Add me as a Yelp friend to talk and share tips about the best eats in the Inland Empire! Ok, now back to the food :)

All of the specialty plates come with a choice of one sides like cole slaw, corn on the cob, fries, small green salad, grilled veggies, macaroni & cheese and ranch beans. I would go with the grilled veggies, macaroni & cheese or the ranch beans.

The dinner menu features a variety of steaks, seafood, pasta, ribs, chicken, sandwiches and a glorious hand patted and formed Kobe Beef Burger. After a few long minutes, I decided to order one appetizer and a variety of entrees. The appetizer was the Apple wood Smoked Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates $7.00. This fantastic appetizer consisted of 4 huge dates stuffed with bleu cheese & goat cheese mixture then wrapped with the delicious crisp smoky bacon. The combination of the smoky bacon, tart bleu cheese and creamy goat cheese and the sweetness of the dates was a marriage made in heaven. I could have eaten 50 more.

Next came three of the entrees, the Baby Back Ribs $17.00, Maine Lobster Ravioli $28.00, and a different twist on the classic Veal Oscar, a Filet Oscar $27.00. The meaty half rack of baby back ribs were slowly cooked over the red oak wood and was "fall of the bone" tender and had a nice crusty exterior thanks to the their homemade BBQ basting of the ribs that took place near the end of the cooking process. The Maine Lobster Ravioli featured of 4 large ravioli's stuffed with a lobster and ricotta cheese filling gently laid upon a lovely Cognac cream sauce along with a 3oz. lobster tail. The dish was quite filling and the sauce was outstanding. The last entrée from this set of dishes was the eye-popping Filet Oscar, a perfect filet mignon that was sliced in half and topped with real crab and a rich Béarnaise sauce. I really enjoyed this dish and although filet mignon is not my steak of choice, this filet was one terrific steak! It should be noted that most of the dinner items come with garlic mashed potatoes and some of the best sautéed fresh veggies I have ever had.

My next set of entrees included the Grilled Alaskan Salmon $25 and the "king of steaks" (in my opinion), the massive 22oz. Rib Eye Steak $36.00. The 7oz. salmon steak was lightly seasoned and grilled over the intense red oak wood resulting in a moist, flakey and delicious piece of salmon while the skin on one side of the fish was crisp and very tasty. This dish was served with rice pilaf and fresh asparagus and carrots. As impressive as the salmon was, the Rib Eye Steak brought tears of joy to my eyes. For one thing, the succulent steak looked like it belonged on the cover of Food & Wine Magazine. Once I sliced into the steak and took my first bite, I found the steak was extremely tender, juicy, nicely seasoned and well, just the perfect steak. A rich Peppercorn, Demi Mushroom, Reduced Port Wine or Béarnaise sauce is available for your asking if you prefer your steak topped with one of these delicious sauces.

Lastly, I enjoyed the Angus Beef Ribs that were slowly wood cooked until tender and then basted with a mildly spicy sweet BBQ sauce. Happy Eating!

Outstanding friendly service. Not a big fan of the Mac and cheese but the salad my dad had looked great and the house dressing smelled delicious!! Burger was good, very tender and juicy.

These guys have a ways to come before hitting their mark of "fine dining" but they support local business which is the best in this kind of economy.

For anyone boycotting things made in China... sorry a lot of their plates and things are made in China or India, but their meats come from local business!

Glad I found this place, just ask anyone there, it is my office on the run with lots of yum yum. The food is out of this world, they fix BBQ better than I do at home. I get by as often as I can.

Just before Valentine's Day our party of eight had a most enjoyable meal at the Stockyard and we definitely plan on returning. My husband had the reasonably priced Kobe Beef Burger and it rivaled those the best chefs in Las Vegas offer while my steak was cooked to perfection. The food delivery was also consistent. The owner and his wife were hospitable and made us feel like cherished guests instead of mere customers. We only hope their beer and wine license has come through by now as a bit of vino would have rounded out the evening nicely!

I thought I'd mention that we tried the Stockyard yesterday for lunch, and really enjoyed it. Both the food and the surroundings were great!

Service was a bit slow, which I think was more a function of the speed of the kitchen than any shortcomings of our server. But, in their defense, we got the last indoor table and the patio was nearly full. I wouldn't have cared except I had a 1:30 appointment at Tom Bell Chevrolet to have my Avalanche serviced.

I just had their pulled pork sandwich and it was AMAZING! I am from Tennessee and have been out here in California for about 8 years and that my friends is the BEST bar b que place that I have eaten at in CA! Being from TN and living not far from Memphis, I have eaten my weight in pork. If ya get a chance, make a stop in there! I can't wait until dinner so I can try the tri tip!!!!

Very good blackened beef - the wood smoke outside smells great. I enjoyed the patio dining and the presentation of the food.

Really good ribs. Beef aren't my favorite because they are typically really fatty. However, these were MUCH better and more meat. The roots veges great...and I'm not a real vege eater. The mashed potatoes were excellent. We ordered to-go and will do it again. Glad to see a new MEAT joint in Redlands.

We picked up to go and WOW! The brisket sandwich was loaded with lean meat and very good. Also, had the beef ribs which were very good. Loved the mashed potatoes. It's nice to watch the meat being BBQ by the owner on the patio. We were very pleased and will come back. Looking forward to trying the pork ribs and steak.
