Serving the Redlands Community

  • For the first time in the California State University’s history, students can earn a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and culture. CSUSB is the first of the 23-campus California State University system to offer a major in Arabic, and only the third among all public and private universities in California.

  • The university’s College of Business and Public Administration accounting program offers a unique internal auditing program that was endorsed by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Fewer than 50 universities worldwide have received this recognition.

  • CSUSB ranks among the leading colleges and universities for placing students into medical schools and other graduate programs around the nation after they graduate from Cal State San Bernardino.

  • A new CSUSB partnership with Chinese universities led to California’s first “1-2-1” Dual Degree program. Chinese students take their first year in China, then come to Cal State San Bernardino for years two and three before finishing at their home universities.

  • English: Professor Kevin Moffet’s short story, “One Dog Year” was selected to appear in The Best American Short Stories 2009.

  • The newly-accredited Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum is a wonderful cultural asset that the entire Inland Empire can enjoy, and of which they can very proud.

  • Performances by the Cal State Theatre Arts Department are second-to-none. The department enjoys its connections with the Redlands theatrical community, with faculty and students performing in both communities.

  • Our outstanding student musicians from the Cal State Music Department, who regularly dazzle audiences at performances across the Inland Empire, are available for local events, subject to their busy schedules.

  • Our outstanding Liberal Studies Program, headed by former Redlands’ Frugal Frigate Owner Katherine Thomerson, prepares outstanding students for teaching careers, most of which play out in our local schools to the benefit of our children.

Great school, beautiful views, awesome people and professors. The campus is clean but the weather is eh (for California standards), its cold and windy in the winters, and blazing hot in the summer (you can't go out from 12-4 because the heat is so intense). Besides that, the pros make up for the very few negatives, which is why I give it the full 5 stars.
