Great place. Went there for lunch around 2pm. Had a very kind waitress, Allison, who waited us very professionally and personally. Yes it is a bit classy and slightly on the expensive side, but the atmosphere, taste and service quality worth it in my sense. It was lunch so didn't look at the wine list. A little to much air conditioning I would say. 4 Star because well, AC + price. But really, I think it is a great place to discover and to spend quality time in.

We love the bar in the back of Citrone. They have a wonderful high table that you can get a group of 8 around. Was told the owner mixes the music himself....the music is great!

Critrone in Redlands, CA is a fun place for a nice lunch or special evening. I love their quesadillas and fresh salsa.

Last night was one of the best wine dinners we have ever attended. Each course was paired with two different Domaine Serene wines from Oregon. Every one of them so wonderful. The Rep's were very knowledgeable and we learned many interesting wine facts. When is the next dinner?

"This hip and casual downtown bistro has won Wine Spectator awards continually since 1998. More than 600 wines are served here, which complement such light California fare as the Citrone Stack (layered roasted red peppers, red onion, grilled tomato, potato, mushrooms, and buffalo mozzarella), or the signature pizza, topped with feta cheese, onions, and sliced apples. Don't miss the Citrone martini, made with premium vodka and fresh-squeezed lemons."

"An impressive California-centered wine list partners fresh, flavorful, market-driven cuisine. The menu at this attractive bistro/trattoria, supplemented with about six market-driven daily specials, is straightforward, reflecting a philosophy of turning out dishes that skillfully emphasize freshness and flavor without letting busy preparations distract from the primary ingredients. The quality wine list---visually reinforced by framed enlargements of wine labels lining the restaurant's worn brick walls---is a nearly all-California affair, with an impressive 500 selections."

For appetizers I recommend the crab cakes; they come with a salsa made with chunks of papaya and mango. The salads, however, are probably the best I've had at any restaurant. The California salad is my favorite: it comes with mixed greens, apples, walnuts, feta cheese, and red onions in an apple-honey dressing. And, the BEST wine I have had !! 2004 Shafer Chardonnay.

Dishes at Citrone range from $30 to $100 depending on what you order; a bit pricey, but worth it: its definitely 5-star quality food. The menu is contemporary European- inspired and the wine list is outstanding: a selection of over 500 California wines. Citrone sets the bar high for restaurants in Redlands, but the current development trend in the city should live up to expectations. I really enjoy dining at Citrone: its small and private, but not snobbish. 5 stars.

It is very unique place in Redlands! Food is delicios! I know "fine dining", as I used to work in fine dining restaurant during my school years. I think Citron scores 5/5 on my list. Nice menu, great wine selection, OK prices, friendly and professional staff. Expect to shed 60-70 dollars per person if you want to enjoy appetizers/dinner/wine/desert. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend this place for special occasion as birthday, valentine day, and anniversary! Worth every penny! Great dining experience!
