Tips for creating a Wonderful Garden Event

First, let’s focus on what makes a wonderful garden event? Of course careful planning. Here is a list of questions you should ask when doing you’re planning.
* What area will be the focal point of the event?
* Is the setting comfortable for you, your guest and the professional staff?
* What options are there in case the weather isn’t favorable?
* Is the garden accessible to all guests? If not, is there an area that can be designated for easy access.
* What colors will the foliage be at the time of your event?

* Will the food be protected from the elements?

By having these questions answered during the planning process of your garden event you can be assured it will be well planned and beautiful.

Tennessee Gardens is a wonderful event center where the Garden is the back drop for celebrations. We’ve missed out on creating those memories in the winter months because of the lack of indoor seating. Well not any more. We just expanded our covered weather protected space. It went from seating for 80 to seating for 200.

The design of the new space took nothing away from the garden. In fact we worked very hard with the design to bring the beauty of the garden inside. This was accomplished by creating a wall of “pocket window sliders” the length of the building (see photos). We’ve also enhanced the garden with turf that will be green year round. So, if you desire the back drop of a lush garden for your winter event, we can now provide that for you.

Along with creating more covered seating we have also created more peace of mind for our brides and guests. Since we only do one event at a time, we can adjust to inside or garden seating within a short period of time. Weather will never be a worry again.
With the new construction, we have also created more options for the flow and layout of your event.
There must be a great deal of care and thought to create a successful garden event. Please let us make your event one that will be perfect and memorable.

Next month I’ll share some tips on what questions brides should be asking of the event center as they plan their perfect day.
